ABOUT REBEKAH BROOKS

THE JEWELRY: All of the jewelry is made by hand in our own studio. We fabricate all of our own clasps & earwires and the designs are unique to us. We keep very little stock so just about everything is made to order. The gold we use is specified as 14kt GF (Gold Filled), 14kt Vermeil, 14kt, 18kt or 22kt. 14kt Gold Filled has a bonded 14kt Gold content that will not wear off or change color over time. We use the US standard. 14kt Vermeil is 100 layers of 14kt Gold over Sterling Silver, which makes it all precious metal. Vermeil is not plated but bonded and will not wear off. Traditional plating is the equivalent of one layer, we do not use any plating in our jewelry. Most pieces can be ordered in any metal you prefer you can email a request for pricing. We stand firmly behind the quality of our work & use only the best materials available to us.

Rebekah

REBEKAH BROOKS: Raised in rural New Hampshire in a house that most closely resembles a sculpture Rebekah Brooks artist parents insured a world of natural inspiration for her formative years. She had an inherent fascination with jewelry making from an early age her mother still has the first necklace she made hanging on the wall. Following High School she attended the Massachusetts College of Art and the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, completing a degree in Sculpture in 1995. Upon finishing school & moving to New York, she worked as an assistant for the likes of Kiki Smith & Ted Meuhling. In early 2000 Rebekah embraced her lifelong interest in adornment with the launch of her own jewelry line — introducing a truly unique vision. The jewelry is now sold to over 250 shops & boutiques across the US, Europe & Japan. In 2004 the business relocated from Brooklyn, NY to a Victorian church in Western Mass where all the work is currently produced. In October of 2008 the first retail store dedicated exclusively to the complete Rebekah Brooks collection was opened in Northampton, Mass.
